POST-CARE
You will be supplied with a 4-week post procedure after-care kit that contains all of your information and products that you will need throughout your healing phase. You will need to avoid makeup, limit sun/steam/sweat, and avoid products other than the provided soap and ointment for the full healing duration. Once healed, we will follow up with a touch-up, which can be a perfecting session to go over any areas that did not retain as well, or alter color/shape.
For great, long term results, apply SPF daily.
Healing Phase
-
Day 1-2
Dark phase. During the first 48 hours, pigment is mixing and reacting with oxygen, slowly darkening. A normal occurrence and nothing to worry about.
-
Day 3-10
Patchy phase. The cells are recovering beneath the surface, creating scab-like flakes. Once the flakes are off, color will appear to be lighter. Color will reappear once fully healed.
-
Day 10-21
Healed phase. Skin cells are almost fully healed, and the color has gradually lightened by 35-50%. We will go over any any imperfections at the 6-8 week touch-up.
